I work full-time and could easily find enough to do at work to be there twice as long each week, but I go to school in the evenings and that takes up much of the rest of my time. I will probably be doing this for at least a few more years.

I'm really into music. I'd like to think I'm a complicated guy. I don't know about that, but I think I do get to elude simple generalization:
At a sports bar I find myself looking for grammatical errors in the menu, sneaking glances at the guy across the bar under the cover of the football game above, and instinctively miming the official hand motion used to describe the way in which my team has been wronged. Some of my best times have involved dancing in a dive bar like Michael Jackson (the only way I know how), 2 a.m. Wal Mart trips with my former boss, and deadline-writing in a speeding minivan. I avoid work by YouTubing the Eurythmics and practicing my baseball (post-collegiate edit: softball) swing with an ugly umbrella.
To be honest, I'm pretty straightforward. I like complex topics (economics/politics), simple distractions (baseball/30 Rock), and hanging out with friends (often inebriated).

I'm an I.T. professional who dabbles in guitar, singing, and massage. I'm into sci-fi/fantasy fandom and I have a large DVD collection. I enjoy curling up and watching the idiot box with the right person/people, though lately I've been catching my TV on Hulu (Bones; House, M.D.; and Dollhouse). I also have a fairly large and eclectic CD collection, somewhat in part because I never sell music I don't listen to anymore. I'm not sure if I keep those discs as a reminder my tastes have changed or because I'm a bit of a pack-rat.

Other hobbies include reading, video games, and etching glass. I'm a fan of live music in small venues and have a big love for a certain local Irish band--seeing them brings me to my happy place, though I've yet to see their new line-up. As for the glass etching, it's really just tracing a design onto the medium in question. I often go to the Dollar Store and buy up their larger frames, but I can etch any glass, so I've also frequently used empty liquor bottles (Skye Vodka's blue bottles are amongst my favorites to use--it only they came in flat shapes). I've been pondering taking a few pieces to an art show, but many of my examples are transfers of copyrighted works or characters, so I'm not sure I could use them for anything other than displays of the talent/style. I wouldn't mind doing commissioned work, but it's hard to find buyers without a show. It's a conundrum.

I've taken a look at the personality awards the site's assigned to me, and while I agree with several, there are a few I take issue with. While the "more greedy" does fit to a degree, as I enjoy material comforts and seek them out, I'm not consumed by such things. The opposite number, "less giving", is also a misnomer. My closest friends will all tell you that I'm pretty free with my money for small things, and will make large loans to them (though I expect to be paid back without any interest save goodwill). I don't think the "less compassionate" and "more aggressive" are 100% valid, but I won't say they're wrong either--the context makes a big difference, though. Also, for the record, I'm a geek, not a dork.

I like all that normal stuff like jogging, working out, movies w/popcorn, long walks on the beach and what not, blah blah blah. I love traveling, seeing new sights, especially anywhere abroad. I am kind of a nerd, but I'm seeing a doctor for that. I enjoy learning, meeting new people and generally having a good time.

Born in CA, grew up in Rural MN. I love the city but respect the country. I always like to look up in the sky at night when I go back home to see all the stars that can't be seen in the city.

I enjoy too many things to list. I would probably say that my two biggest passions are acting and animals. I try to find time to be in shows whenever possible but I donâ??t really have any delusions of being a famous actor. Acting is more of an artistic release/hobby for me. As for animals, I can't get enough of them even though I am allergic to most. Growing up, my sister and I would always bring home stray â??whatevers.â?? I try to go to the animal shelter or humane society a couple times a month to visit....I just can't take anymore home!

I have been described as having a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. I joke around with friends a lot. Who doesn't? I would say one flaw (of many) that I have is people have a hard time telling when I am serious and when I am joking. Don't get me wrong, I know when to be serious it is just that when I make jokes, my "dry wit" leads people to believe I am serious.

I can be a social chameleon. I have friends from VERY different backgrounds and many different social circles. For example, a few weeks ago, I found myself standing in my alley drinking beer with my "gear head," "red-neck" neighbors, having a really good time. I never though I would find myself drinking beer in an alley standing by a broken down car!

I am passionate about everything I do...with little grey shadow left around the margins of my existence. I am fiercely dependable and reliable. I enjoy sexual adventure as long as it is Safe, Sane, and between consenting adults. With out trust, BDSM is out of the question.

I enjoy the new and different challenges life throws at us from day to day. Iâ??m finding that life is really a game less of finding what you want and more of wanting what youâ??ve got. What I do have is a heart of gold that I keep neatly tucked away just out of reach, safely up my sleeve. A true believer in living a healthy lifestyle and I'm continually trying to find balance in whatever I do--both at work and play. Music is the greatest single solace I have known for many things: invigoration, relaxation and romance; a song for every mood. I have somehow surrounded myself with fun-loving friends and have been blessed with an incredible family. Iâ??m learning to improve my skills in a couple key interests I have currently: cooking and massage, both of which Iâ??d like to take classes in before too long. I like to get out for an evening on the town for a drink or two occasionally, especially if good food is involved. I also love to sweat it out on the dance floor...not promising that I'll avoid embarrassing myself doing it, but yes I enjoy it! If you can't laugh at yourself, you'd better find somebody to laugh at (or laugh with).

I prefer variety to routine. Going to a bar every weekend would not be my thing. I am a baseball fan, especially the Minnesota Twins. I go to as many games as possible.

Service learning and volunteering are important to me and I and am on the volunteer council at work. I am outspoken on multiple political issues and a feminist.

Feminism is defined as honoring women to make the best decisions for their own lives. I believe that women deserve equal pay for equal work, (not 76 cents on the dollar) equal opportunities (why do I need a masters degree to get a job that men can take with a bachelors?) and equal representation (only 16% of our federal representation are women, only three of these are under 40.)

The retoric I spew is non-stop, which is ONE reason why I will be running for office some day.

Kids and animals tend to really like me and I return their sentiments of affection. I have two cats and I recently adopted a neglected cocapoo. She has never been trained and so I am starting from scratch.

People say I dress more formal than most; I don't even hang around the house in sweats. They are only for the gym. I am a bit of a fashionista. Shoes are something I notice instantly about everyone.

As a finance dork, I like figuring out financial plans and conduct data analysis. I'm goal orientated and write lists to stay on track.

Airplanes are my preferred method of travel because I can't sleep in public.

Road trips can be fun when the journey is the objective and not the destination. Recently I cannot drive for long distances because of surgery on my right knee. Anything more than an hour starts to really hurt.

Traveling alone is something I have been trying to do more of. This summer I want to go backpacking, camping, hiking, and canoeing. I like exploring new places, taking pictures, and getting into places I'm not supposed to be at. I never have enough vacation time!!!

World Traveler. I like Japanese horror and other foreign films, reggae and other eclectic music. I work in social services though my degree is in graphic design. I live with family.This cramps my style, but they depend on me in these times, so the situation is not likely to change soon (plus they are a lot better than some of the creepy roommates I've had).
